When Dialogs Go Bad

A colleague of mine was using Microsoft Word 2004 for Mac, and came upon this interesting modal dialog:

 I thought I’d share that with everyone.  Not only does it suggest you need to do all sorts of  operations in order to search for ‘(no proofing)’, the dialog is MODAL, so you can’t do it until you’ve pressed OK.  So get out a pen and paper and write down all those instructions before you press that button. :-)

That dialog was probably put together by a team of at least 5 developers, oh hang on, its not vista.

I had to go digging for it, but your post reminded me of one that I made a few years back now – probably not worth the effort as it’s really only pointing out my own stupidity… but here it is:
