Out of interest I plugged the optical cable from the DVD into the TV then through the amp to see - yeah right! The best it could manage was a PCM stream that I didn't get from the anoalog cables and the aforementioned handful of shows on Nine. Whoopdeedoo! I guess it's not an outright lie, but it's pretty damn close.
